To create the concept and styleframes for a potential music video to a song of your choice. I chose the song "Trippy" by Mindchatter
The song “Trippy” by Mindchatter has a simple and repetative beat and I would like to mirror this in the style of animation (styleframes) too. The song references psychedelics with the word “Trippy” therefore the animation (styleframes) should also reflect this. I am going to focus on warping perspective by playing with scale and using a surreal drawing style. The style is based off of the work of Benisright (instagram name) and Polly Nor, whose style is very childlike and utilises thick contour lines and a lot of bright colours. The animation will begin with a close up of a pair of feet walking to the beat of the song. As the feet are walking, objects in the background pass by. These objects will be completely out of proportion. Scale will be something I play around with in these styleframes. The camera will follow the feet as they walk to the beat of the music. At the bridge the camera will zoom out to show the rest of the body and the arms will start extending down in a surreal way as the shot zooms back in until you are back to the close up of the feet walking again; except now the hands will be in the shot as well.
